A story about people rather than just one a team going for the win. In doing so, O’Connor makes Miracle one of the more thoughtful and enjoyable films revolving around sports.
With time as a buffer, it’s now easier to see The Machinist for what it is: a labyrinthine leap down the rabbit hole into a nightmarish wonderland.

Marley & Me is a film of moments and many of them are cute. For anyone who has ever had a dog or a close pet, there’s bound to be some connection.
While it does have its weak points, it’s held together by its unique angle on the war as well as strong characterization for its central characters.
Far from classic but it is interesting to watch for its take on the pre-Disnified New York landscape following the company’s real estate foray into the iconic downtown core.
The fact is, while Kidulthood tries to be raw and gritty, it’s really just a mish-mash of events that’s missing characters that you genuinely care for or even begin to understand.
