On the surface, Stardust looks like a cheesy little fluff fantasy. In many ways it is. Yet at the same time, it’s also the most fun I’ve had with a film since watching the first Pirates of the Caribbean.

While there are times of moderate amusement, Shrek the Third offers few surprises. It seems as though perhaps the creators have found their stride and are calling it in more than going out on a limb.
Although the technology has come a long way in that time, the Pixar philosophy of putting characters and plots in the forefront remains sound.
Complex in its simplicity. It can be summed up quickly by saying it’s about a rat who helps a clumsy oaf achieve greatness in a French restaurant. But the rich themes that it covers in the process are universal and inspiring.
Without expectations I could sit back and enjoy the updated computer- generated nostalgia for what it was.
Unlike his other films, Moore finally starts to offer some sort of a solution that involves something other than marking an ‘X’ next to a name that doesn’t say ‘Bush’.
There are some tremendous lessons of courage and justice to be taken from Provoked, however the drama is often so forced that there are times when the film is hard to watch.
It’s flashy and feels hip, but I wonder if it’s all just a smokescreen much like the one in the film’s plot.
