The fact is, while Kidulthood tries to be raw and gritty, it’s really just a mish-mash of events that’s missing characters that you genuinely care for or even begin to understand.
Provides an alternative to the often very graphic and gratuitous horror films of Hollywood.
Like most every great war movie, it combines intense action with human drama. There’s also several overtly preachy scenes that accomplish little to further the story but they underline the already clear message.
Everything in Anthony Minghella’s Breaking and Entering is torn and in need of mending….And like the flaw’s set within the confines of the film, the movie itself is in need of a little tinkering itself.
There are some tremendous lessons of courage and justice to be taken from Provoked, however the drama is often so forced that there are times when the film is hard to watch.
Short and sweet, it’s also intelligent and a welcome departure from the typical material found in the genre’s bigger stars.
