At its simplest, it’s a gorgeous film with beautiful period costumes and intricate set designs. However, something tells me that’s not the level director Saul Dibb wanted to achieve greatest on.
Still a lot of fun, has lots of action and adds some depth to the overall story, but it’s also bloated and ends far too suddenly.
Although visually impressive, At World’s End is a bitter disappointment considering how fresh and exciting the crew was just a few years ago.
