Just enough story to be interesting and with lots of personality to stand out.
Well-acted, a multi-leveled story and a pure honesty make Sling Blade one of my favourite films of the 1990s.
Reminds us that no matter where you are, this third rock from the sun of ours is a gorgeous thing.
They’re still fun at times and remain iconic but there’s something about these shorts where the cute factor wears thin and the stories seem to be calling it in.
Has many moments rooted in movie magic, but there’s also a whole lot of filler that brings the movie to a length that’s more than bearable.
Although it’s hampered by rushed pacing and some plot contrivances, Bad Ronald isn’t actually that bad.
Sticks to the familiar but he does it in such a way that it’s still extremely creepy, a little bit campy and, at times, quite a lot of fun.
Although the drama goes a little too Shakespearian at times to the point of predictability, the show’s an intelligent and human take on a subject that is normally either idolized or cartoonized.
Several anti-war films have come along in the past couple of years calling out the war in Iraq. They’ve covered various conspiracies, big personalities and the front lines. But, perhaps, none have been as human as Neil Abramson’s American Son.
Adventureland finds much of its comedy in its often brutal honesty.
